Opportunities for students, national service, internships

IWMI accepts students from allover the world for internships or thesis work, and welcomes applications from visiting scientists. For Ghanaians, it is also possible to join one of IWMI's projects in Ghana as national service attachment. While the national service secretariat has fixed regulations and fees, we only accept self-funded students (with own means, grants or scholarships). We will assist them logistically (e.g. with office space), through on-the-job supervision and, if possible, with operational funds. The latter only applies to already funded projects where students will join IWMI staff on certain operational tasks. We prefer internship periods of 4-10 months. Interns might be posted in our Kumasi or Accra office. Our contact address for student applications is iwmi-ghana@cgiar.org

IWMI PhD Program

Postgraduate students are encouraged to apply for IWMI's competitive PhD program.

Other Vacancies

Position announcements appear when available. Please check back.  Also other IWMI offices from Ethiopia to India offer possibilities or internships. Please contact d.van-eyck@cgiar.org or see the IWMI overall page for any IWMI vacancies.

Thank you for your interest in IWMI.
